Use Case 02

UPS Monitoring, Maintenance & Power Reliability

Visibility of UPS status, battery condition and power events — so you know about issues before a power failure impacts critical operations.

Most UPS systems fail silently — until it's too late

A UPS that hasn't been checked in years may have degraded batteries that can no longer provide the rated runtime. Without monitoring, the first indication of a problem is often a power event — when the UPS fails to protect the load it was installed to support.

UPS monitoring provides continuous visibility of battery health, load levels, input voltage and runtime estimates. When something changes — a battery begins to degrade, load increases or a power event occurs — alerts are sent so action can be taken proactively.

SNMP / network UPS monitoring setup
Battery health assessment
Runtime assessment at current load
Alerts for power events & anomalies
Battery replacement planning
Preventive maintenance scheduling
UPS replacement coordination
Critical load documentation
Note: UPS batteries typically have a design life of 3–5 years. Many businesses discover battery failure only during a power event — monitoring provides advance warning.
